Terms of use
Last updated: 25 July 2026
These terms govern your access to and use of Zamlist at www.zamlist.com. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these terms and our Privacy policy.
1. Who we are
Zamlist is an online business directory for Zambia. We help people discover local businesses and help businesses publish profiles, receive enquiries, and participate in ZamPoints and referral features.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Zamlist.
- You are responsible for keeping login credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
- Provide accurate information. We may suspend accounts that are false, abusive, or insecure.
3. Listings and content
- Business owners and contributors must only submit information they have the right to publish.
- Listings, photos, reviews, and enquiries must be lawful, accurate, and respectful. No spam, scams, hate speech, or misleading claims.
- We may review, edit, refuse, or remove content that violates these terms or harms users.
- You grant Zamlist a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and promote content you submit for the purpose of operating the directory.
4. Plans, payments, and ZamPoints
- Paid listing plans and features are described on our pricing page. Fees are due as stated at checkout.
- ZamPoints are a promotional rewards programme. ZamPoints have no cash value except where we expressly allow redemption, and we may change earning rules or balances for fraud prevention.
- Refunds, if any, follow the terms shown at purchase or as required by law.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, overload, or interfere with the platform.
- Attempt unauthorised access to accounts, data, or admin systems.
- Use Zamlist to harass others, distribute malware, or commit fraud.
- Manipulate reviews, referrals, or ZamPoints through fake or automated activity.
6. Third-party information
Business details, reviews, and contact information are provided by users and third parties. Zamlist does not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or quality of any listed business. You deal with businesses at your own risk.
7. Intellectual property
The Zamlist name, branding, software, and site design are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them without permission, except for fair personal use of publicly available directory pages.
8. Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the directory or dealings with listed businesses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Termination
You may stop using Zamlist at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the service. On termination, provisions that by nature should survive (including licences for published content, disclaimers, and liability limits) remain in effect.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Zambia. Disputes will be handled in the courts of Lusaka, unless mandatory consumer protections require otherwise.
11. Changes
We may update these terms periodically. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
